Three Poems

by Gregory Liffick

LIMBO

Other parts
of the
day
seem like
life.
This one
argues
for near
death.
The
finger
put
on it
is out
of
touch
with my
vital
signs.

Q-TIP

Crayons
come
in many
colors,
unllike
the wax
in my
ears.
Only
made
in a
soapy
yellow.
Can't
help you
make
a card
for a
sick
relative.

BANK

Put coins
in a
jar
to
add up
to a
five and
dime
dream.
Ends up
mostly
pennies
after a
robbery
for
pizza
money.
