Read the Mouse Tales Press Blog for current updates regarding submissions. We are also listed at Poets and Writers magazine and on Duotrope.

At this time, we are accepting:

• Poetry: From three-lines to 500 words.
• Short Stories: Up to 4,000 words.

In the subject line, write "Submissions" and specify to which category you are submitting - poetry or short stories. Please include a one-paragraph bio written in third person, with links to any blogs or websites you write for, if applicable.

Simultaneous submissions are acceptable. However, please notify us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.

Please format your stories in the following manner:

• 12pt. Font
• Times New Roman
• 1-inch margins
• To indent paragraphs in Word, under “Paragraph,” “Line Spacing,” go to “Special” and click on the drop down box to bring up “First Line” and then choose “0.5.” If your text is already written, select all of your text before changing the setting.

By allowing Mouse Tales Press to use your work online, you agree to grant Mouse Tales Press permission to use these same works in any future hard-copy versions of the magazine if we so desire.

Mouse Tales Press is currently an online-only magazine and, at this time, unable to pay.

Please allow 8-12 weeks for a response. In the case you have not received a personal response back within 12 weeks, feel free to submit again.

Mouse Tales Press reserves the right to copyedit submissions to conform to the editorial guidelines of The Chicago Manual of Style.
